Created Equal

People often get confused by the wording in the Declaration of Independence, it reads "all men are created equal". There is a difference between being equal and being created equal. America recognizes every man and woman being created equal, this means we are all created equally free and equally human. We all have same rights given to us from God. "Created equal" does not mean "created fair". We are all so different, things can't be fair. This is an unfair world and things will never be equal. For our time on this earth there will always be rich & poor, strong & weak, sweet & sour, this is our world and we must make the best of it. What an awful world this would be if we were all truly equal, there would be no variety. Personally I like that things are not always fair, people have different gifts making life more interesting. Some people are great public speakers and others are great artists. If everyone was a great artist there would be no such thing as a great artist. If everyone was a great public speaker there would be no such thing as a great public speaker. Everyone must find their own gifts and talents, we all have them. This is why America has flourished, every American citizen has the right to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". This is another phrase from the Declaration of Independence. Unfortunately "happiness" is not a right, but the "pursuit of happiness" is. The founding fathers understood  that life was not fair and there would always be unhappiness. However as long as you are an American it is your God given right to find what makes you happy and pursue it.
