Car Wash Crime

    I find news stories like this very disappointing. They are disappointing because they show a breakdown of our freedoms and a trend in overreaching government on a seemingly comatose American public. As the Nanny State gathers momentum, stories like this will become more and more common.
The over regulation of America strikes again and the latest victims are from Lincoln High School in San Jose, California. A group of Cheerleaders were forced to cancel a fundraising car wash scheduled for Oct 20th. Their goal was to raise enough money to go to the national cheerleading competition. The city's Environmental Services Department made a visit to the students to make them aware they would be in violation of the city's water discharge laws. Apparently the soapy runoff is dangerous to the wildlife because anything that is not rainwater or storm water is a pollutant. This left the students options to buy a waterless solution for $159.00 a gallon or move to a grassy area where the soap would not go into the street. The school has cancelled the car wash and all similar future events. If you live in San Jose, this law also applies to individuals at home who want to spray down their car. Laws like this will only continue to get a tighter grip on society because this kind of control always moves forward, never backwards.- BDB

Honor the Office

     You will never hear me say that being President of the United Sates is an easy job. With that being said, I did not vote for President Obama and I am often critical of him and his administration. I may call for treason but its nothing personal Mr Obama. Your lack of a foreign policy, your view on immigration, your entitlement programs and your health care reform are a few examples of the dangers facing America. I think it is safe to say that President Obama believes in a fundamentally different America than myself.
I don't know if there is one single thing we agree on. If I am hard on President Obama it is only because I care about this country. However, what you wont find me doing is disrespecting his office. I would still salute the president as my Commander and Chief and I would still shake his hand honoring him as the leader of the free world. He holds the same office as George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
You don't have to agree with the president to respect his position. I believe in freedom of speech but I also think it is counter-productive to make insults and slander our country's leader. I love funny skits of our president but not if they are degrading to him personally. I thinks it fine to poke fun, but not if it is malicious. This is just my opinion. Besides, Ive come to realize that even if you think Obama is ruining this country, don't worry, he is not really the one in control.- BDB (Google Images)

A Plan for America

     President Obama's plan for America is simple, CHANGE! His vision is an America that's 100% dependent on government. An America in which the government supplies your every need because they know best.
If we want to understand the way Obama thinks we just have to look at a man named Saul Alinsky. Saul Alinsky was a well known and highly controversial  writer and community organizer in Chicago from the 1930s -1960s (sound familiar?). Alinsky is known as the father of modern community organizing and dedicated his life to organizing a revolution in America. Alinsky was often associated with the communist party because of the similarities in desired goals. As with many communists, Alinsky would never identify as a communist, preferring instead the term "progressive". Call it what you will, Alinsky was set on taking from the "Haves" and giving to the "Have Nots". He despised the free market of America and the wealth building machine of capitalism. Alinsky believed the American system was oppressive and unjust. He believed in power, a power that can control the population with the redistribution of wealth, believing that when done correctly it would create a utopia or heaven on earth.
    These ideas derive from Saul Alinsky's landmark work called "Rules for Radicals". This book is a manual for the systematic destruction of America, it breaks down the plan for social change through lies and deception. Straight from his own pages, Alinsky taught his disciples to "say anything" and "be anything" to further his agenda. Anything and everything is fair game because it is all for the greater good. Alinsky proudly dedicates this book to Satan, because according to him "Satan was the first radical". Not only is President Obama familiar with Saul Alinsky and his work, but he teaches workshops on Alinsky principles and often quotes right from his books. In his autobiography Obama names the man Frank Marshal Jr as his mentor. Marshal was a proud communist from Chicago who helped shape Obama's young political and social career, with Alinsky principles no doubt.
 These principles have formed the man that would become President of the of the United States.

    President Obama has surrounded himself with like minded individuals. It turns out that Obama's top two advisers David Axelrod and Valarie Jarret can be traced back to Marshal and the Chicago Communist Party. Another big name inside the administration is former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who wrote her 92 page senior thesis on Saul Alinsky and his principles, liking him to Martin Luther King Jr and Walt Whitman. Breaking the Law

     Would you be surprised if I said that you break the law everyday? There are so many laws in the United States that everyone breaks the law without knowing it. We have too many laws, the land of the free is choking on its own Judicial System. Could this be one of the reasons we have more people in prison than any other country? In the United States 1 in every 100 adults is incarcerated. Federal and state prisons are 50-60% over capacity.
     At the beginning of every year you can read the long list of new laws in the local newspaper. After that it is up to every citizen to know all the "rules" in your area. Doing this can be a full time job. It is virtually impossible for a regular citizen to keep up with all the statutes, ordinances and regulations of the city and state we live in. Most police officers don't even know all the laws they are paid to enforce. In 2012, over 29,000 laws were passed nationwide. When you break that number down, it comes out to 80 new laws each day. On the Federal level alone the laws on the books currently take up a whopping 160,000 pages. Once a law is put in place, it is very difficult to undo because of political games and bureaucracy.

     It seems that we are trying to solve every problem with a new law. Maybe we are trying to create a perfect world, a utopia. If everything is illegal nothing bad can happen ..right?
This country has changed a lot in 230 years, the principles of freedom, limited government and individual responsibility are just a memory.
Lets face it, the U.S Federal Government has too much power and shows no sign of slowing down. They are trying to control every aspect of our lives and they think they know better than we do. I've said many times that control and freedom are opposite terms. Its one or the other, it can't be both.

Kangaroo Court

    A Kangaroo Court is a term used to describe a 'mock" court. Usually set up to give the appearance that real justice is going on when it is just a show. An example of a Kangaroo Court is the F.I.S.A Court, named after the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978. F.I.S.A. was established to oversee requests for surveillance of foreign targets inside the United States by the F.B.I or C.I.A. As the power of the F.I.S.A Court grows, the question of constitutionality often comes up. There are 11 judges who have become almost as influential as the Supreme Court. F.I.S.A is a kangaroo Court because there is only one side being heard. A true court hears both sides of a case. This is the way the justice system was set up.

     Most of the public knows nothing about this secretive and controversial court. Since 1978 the power of the F.I.S.A Court has continued to increase. It is the F.I.S.A Court that gives the N.S.A permission to spy on Americans not suspected of a crime. The court itself was originally established to give the F.B.I permission to spy on Americans only with a warrant. We now know from the news that the N.S.A collects phone & computer data from all Americans with No warrant. So when did this start? Sept 11th 2001 was the day everything changed. Under the Patriot Act the government gained incredible free reign and the mass surveillance began. F.I.S.A is unlike the Supreme Court where an argument is made by one party and defended by another. Let me break this down further. There is a secret court in the United States that only hears the Government's side of a case, and the verdict can not be appealed or even reviewed by the public. It is very frightening that we have a court in which its rulings are free from public criticisms. This is the recipe for corruption, plain and simple. This kind of power can not continue unchecked. Checks and balances were put in place for a reason.

     I wish I had more information about the F.I.S.A Court but it is all a secret. All of the hearings and even the operating rules are classified, only the Government and the Judges know what is said and done. Is it legal for a court to operate in secret? Legal is such a fuzzy term these days. A better question would be- Is it constitutional? That answer is no!- BDB

Biggest Employer

     One of the signs that the U.S. Government has gotten too big is the size of our debt. A small Government would likely never be 17 trillion dollars in debt. Is the Government trying to do too much? Id say yes, we are overloaded and carrying too much weight.
Here is a breakdown of the U.S. Federal Government in employee numbers. I'm not going to give budget numbers of any kind, employees only. This will give us a rough idea of the Government's size. My research uncovered some astonishing figures. The following are estimates.

Transportation Security Administration (T.S.A)- 55,600 employees

Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A)-17,400 employees

United States Postal Service (U.S.P.S)-522,150 employees

The National Security Administration (N.S.A)-number is classified but estimated at- 35,000
employees

Internal Revenue Service (I.R.S)-106,000 employees

Federal Bureau of Investigations (F.B.I)- 35,000 employees

Central Intelligence Agency (C.I.A)-number is classified but estimated at 22,000 employees

Department of Homeland Security (D.H.S)- 240,000 employees

If I were to guess, Id say this is still less than half of the Federal Government. I only selected the areas that most people are familiar with. There are at least 150 more agencies and bureaus of the U.S. Government not mentioned here. The Department of Defense (D.O.D) alone boasts a shocking 3.2 million employees. I did not include the D.O.D because some of the areas above fall under the D.O.D umbrella. Remember these are federal employees only. No city, county or state workers of any kind were included. Be Prepared

     So far I've found dozens of websites confirming a national power-out drill in the U.S on November 13 2013. I'm not sure if this has hit the main stream media yet. You would think something this big would be all over the news. I'm not sure what to think about this. How long will it be for? Is it just a drill or will the power actually go out? These are questions I can not find answers to. My advice for anyone who is listening is "be prepared".  It would be far better to be prepared than to not be. This brings up the topic of conspiracy theories. The Internet is full of them. I have found out that most conspiracy theories have truth in them, if not all truth.
The theories being brought up on the power grid drill are no exception. Here are some of the theories....
1) The powers that be want to shut down the Internet along with the power and when it comes back up they will implant a new censored version thus eliminating alternative media sources, investigative journalists and liberty bloggers.
2) President Obama wants to shut down the power grid to create chaos thus giving him a reason to impose martial law, this is something characteristic of a dictator.
3) President Obama will shut down the power grid, so he is able to launch his war against Syria and have no resistance from the people.
4) The powers that be want to disarm the American public, this will give them a reason. This will be reminiscent of the weapon confiscation that took place in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina.
5)A combination of all of these scenarios combined. A way to depopulate the U.S.
6) Nothing will happen at all. Making the drill itself a conspiracy theory.

This is a sample of the  many theories that I have found. Some of them seem more plausible than others. I personally don't have an opinion on the matter, not yet.
I will say that it would be a good idea to be prepared.
Preparation for this type of event will can be simple or complicated. The simple version is making sure you have a few days of food, water, shelter, self defense and a generator.
The complicated version can be as complicated as you want to make it. You can be part of a militia, have an underground bunker, bug out bags, multiple generators and stock piles of food.
It is ultimately up to the individual. What is really going to happen? Chances are there will be a drill conducted, but we wont really lose any power and life will go on as usual. Whatever happens on November 13th, we must remember that God is in control and he must be the place of refuge for us believers.- BDB

Too Much Power

     America has been divided into two distinct eras. There is America before Sept 11th 2001 and America after. Because of this date we have the Patriot Act. In my opinion, the Patriot Act is the single biggest blow to the U.S Constitution in U.S. history. It was signed in by George W Bush very quickly after the Sept 11th terror attacks. So quick in fact many think it was already written before Sept 11th. The Patriot Act changed America, and not for the better.
We are now in an era where the U.S. Government has unlimited, unchecked power.
We were told that we needed the Patriot Act to keep America safe. "Its patriotic" we were told. This is an example of the Government using words very deceptively. The name alone makes one think its patriotic to support the Patriot Act, this was not an accident. The U.S government knows that only half of the country pays attention, it is the perfect cover. We may never know the true motives behind passing this truly un-American law. However, one thing we do know, liberties don't come back once they are lost. Laws like this are very difficult to reverse. If you are reading this and are not familiar with the Patriot Act, I will give a brief rundown of its attributes. I will start by saying that the Patriot Act is completely illegal. If a law contradicts U.S. Constitution in any way we are not legally bound to follow it. Then how did this become a law you ask? Because we are living in a time in which half of Americans are asleep, and the other half being led by fear. Most Americans don't know anything about this law and don't realize its destructive nature. Let me remind everyone that we are a Constitutional Republic and just because a judge deems something legal, doesn't make it constitutional. A judge's rule is not supposed to override the U.S. Constitution, but we let them get away with it. The word "illegal" doesn't seem to mean anything anymore.
The Patriot Act is very long, I will only go over the most troubling parts.
Under the Patriot Act government agents can now conduct "sneak and peek" searches in which they enter your home or business and search your belongings without informing you.......ILLEGAL
Under the Patriot Act government agents can force libraries and bookstores to disclose the titles of books you have purchased or borrowed. Then they can prosecute the library or bookstore for informing you that a search occurred....ILLEGAL
Under the Patriot Act law enforcement officials are permitted to listen in on discussions between prisoners and their attorneys, thus denying them their constitutional right to confidential legal counsel.....ILLEGAL
Under the Patriot Act, the C.I.A can now spy on American citizens, this was a power that was previously denied to this organization...ILLEGAL
Under the Patriot Act, Government agents are permitted to arrest and detain individuals "suspected" of terrorist activities and to hold them INDEFINITELY, WITHOUT CHARGE and WITHOUT AN ATTORNEY....ILLEGAL

Keep in mind that this is still the United States, (the updated version). The Patriot Act gives the authorities power to take our personal properties, privacy and liberties, this is everything we stand for. Remember this is an incomplete list. I provided links below for more information. The Patriot Act is a law that was passed because of one day. Obama Promised

   He promised us "Hope and change", has he delivered? Mr. Obama has been President for 5 years, and in my opinion this is enough time to see if he has kept his promises. He won the election because people believed in him. He was a very good speaker, articulate and motivating. By coming to us on the heels of George W Bush, America was craving a fresh new leader. He would be the first black President. "Hope & Change" is exactly what we needed to hear. How has he done? Has he stuck to his word? By criticizing President Obama, I'm in no way forgetting or pardoning the Presidents before him. No matter what party they represent, they all play the same game.  My question is, does President Obama get a special pass because he is black? Am I a racist if I think he's a bad President? Some people may answer both of these with a "YES", I'm not one of those people. Does he do what he says? Does he uphold the Constitution? ....These are my standards!

     Now lets look at some of President Obama's past promises. The first one that comes to my mind is his promise to be the most transparent administration in U.S. history. A former reporter at the New York Times was recently quoted saying " This is the most closed, control-freak administration I've ever covered". Where's the transparency on Benghazi? He was also not very transparent when he lied on TV about the N.S.A domestic spying program. How about his promise to restore faith in government?...the opposite is true. In fact, trust in government is at an all time low. Obama promised to raise 2 million people out of poverty. Instead 46 million Americans live in poverty, with an astounding 128 million Americans now on government assistance, both are unprecedented. President Obama said he would balance the budget and get America out of debt. Under Obama our debt has increased by 5 trillion dollars. We cant forget his promise that Obamacare would lower health care premiums. Not only did this not happen but premiums continue to go up. He also promised that under Obamacare we could keep our own insurance if we were happy, this is false. Millions of Americans have been dropped by their provider and forced onto the exchanges. How about his promise to bring Americans together? Instead we got the opposite, he is the most polarizing President in history.

      The country is divided like never before. The President is now openly arming and funding Syrian rebels, who are comprised of Al Qaeda and Muslim extremists. Aiding the enemy is a clear violation of the Constitution and his oath of office. The President promised to close Guantanamo Bay prison, this did not happen and it remains controversial to this day. The President promised to revisit The Patriot Act and overturn unconstitutional executive orders from the past, this has not happened. The President promised to restore constitutional traditions. In reality, this administration has attacked our liberties at every turn. Going after our Guns, limiting freedom of the press, continuing warrant less wire tapping, forcing us to buy a government product and limiting protesting. Yes there are many broken promises, and this list is not yet complete. President Obama still has 3 years left in office. It doesn't matter if you are black or white, you must obey the U.S. Constitution. You work for us Mr. President. Am I being unfair? As I said before, he's not doing anything different from every other president that came before him, but that doesn't mean its OK.

Enough Already

 

    While 83% of the Federal Government is still operational, the other 17% is being dramatically shutdown. It is like a Shakespeare play, only in real life. President Obama is trying to make this partial government shutdown as painful as possible for the public. Closings at the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Wall and many other public, open air sights, are leaving the American public wondering why President Obama is taking such drastic and ridiculous measures. Among the 800,000 plus government workers to be furloughed, at least 50 catholic priests were the latest victims to this debacle. This leaves them completely banned from celebrating weekend masses. Apparently as a result of a shortage in Military chaplains, the U.S. Government hires contract Priests. They were told because there is no funding, they cannot perform any services or they could face trouble. They were also told they were forbidden to volunteer. Some were even told, during a government shutdown it is illegal for them to minister on base and could face arrest if attempting to do so. What is the point President Obama is trying to make? Everyone has the right to free speech and religious liberty, whether working or not.
I cant think of any other career where your boss would threaten you with arrest if you volunteer to work for free. Bill Donahue of the Catholic League was quoted by Fox News saying "In American history there has been no administration more anti-Catholic than the Obama administration". It is hard to say where exactly these decisions are coming from. My guess is from the President himself.
In my opinion, we have reached an all time low in this country. We either believe in free speech or we don't. We either believe in religious liberty or we don't.  Mr. President, make up your mind.
It doesn't matter if you are Catholic or not, this is un-American. In fact you don't even have to believe in God to see that this is enough already.

Its Offensive

     Anaheim Hills California is the most recent backdrop to society's increasing intolerance to gun ownership. This week a female student at Canyon High School was asked to change her NRA shirt, because it was deemed offensive. This is a trend we are seeing all across the country. Kids are being suspended and disciplined because of their or their family's support of the National Rifle Association. In this case the shirt was a gift from her father who just recently became a member of the NRA.
     I realize schools need to be careful of what kids wear, but this case and cases like it are basically calling our Constitution offensive. Our God given right to self defense must not be politically correct. I'm sorry to say, but this type of attitude comes from ignorance. We allow our kids to watch violent movies, play violent video games, and listen to violent music everyday. Then we villainize a group like the NRA. Should we also villainize the police? The police have guns! I'm not sure this is an appropriate message to send to the student body. The NRA is known for supporting responsible and legal gun ownership. The shirt clearly depicts a hunter with a rifle, this is legal gun ownership, and also a sport.
     By taking this kind of action, the school is teaching kids that all gun owners are bad. Shouldn't we be teaching our kids the difference between legal and illegal gun ownership? It must be confusing to be a kid these days with all of these blurred lines. If I was the parent I would make sure the school was at least consistent. By this I mean making the kids change who are wearing "Grand Theft Auto" shirts and shirts with gangsters like Al Capone. This would at least be consistent. Whether we like it or not, guns are legal and here to stay. In my opinion we need to embrace them and educate our youth. We should be educating them on gun safety and security. A countless number of police, firefighters and military men and women are NRA members. Aren't these the ones we want our children looking up to?

Martial Law

     If you have never heard the term martial law, I will explain. Martial law is an extreme and rare action taken by either the President or Congress during times of great chaos or emergency. This includes suspension of the U.S Constitution for citizens. This means seizing of firearms will be expected as well as unreasonable searches, no freedom of speech or of the press. In most cases the military authorities take control in their designated areas, and will be given authority kill or detain citizens who don't follow orders, without a trial. According to the Supreme Court in 1946, martial law carries no exact meaning. So it depends on the degree of martial law declared. In the United States, martial law has only been implemented one time on a national level, during the Civil war by Abraham Lincoln. Also one time on a regional level. After the bombing of pearl harbor, martial law was declared for the Hawaiian islands, by then Governor Joseph B Poindexter. The most recent example of martial law was in Watertown Massachusetts on April 19th after the marathon bombing. The whole town was put on lock down as they searched door to door for the suspect. The 4th Amendment was nonexistent as they forced there way into homes and arrested residents for noncompliance. Many citizens were left shocked and angry at the bullying displayed by the police.  It has been in national news over the past year, that the department of Homeland Security has been funding small town police forces all over the United States with militarized training and equipment including assault weapons, grenade launchers and tanks. Is this all just in case? The D.H.S has also recently secured a contract that would supply them with 450 million rounds of ammunition over 5 years. This doesn't mean anything, but its interesting nonetheless.

Food Waste

     The National Resources Defense Council is an environmental action group with 1.4 million members nation wide. The NRDC recently conducted a study that yielded some troubling figures. According to their research 40% of all the food in the United States is wasted, an astonishing number. This number includes un-harvested food from our farms, food thrown out by restaurants and grocery stores and food discarded by consumers at home. Broken down, this comes out to 263 million pounds of food that is wasted, everyday!  The United States is by far the most decadent and wasteful society in the history of the earth. According to researchers, food waste makes up the largest portion of solid trash in our nation's landfills. This is unfortunate considering that 47 million people are on some kind of food assistance, with millions of kids going hungry every night. What if we just stopped wasting food? How would these figures change?  None of this includes the money spent. The total wasted food comes out to approximately 165 billion dollars a year. This is heartbreaking to me.-BDB
