     People are so desperate for change in American healthcare, that any change looks good.

 

This is my third and final entry on Obamacare. I felt it necessary to cover the information I previously left out and then I will give my final opinion of the new law. I have been openly critical of Obamacare because of the massive change it brings. That being said, I also have a heart and I realize many people are in need of health care. In fact I have been without health care myself for a year. I understand both sides.  For those of you without insurance, there are things you can look forward to with Obamacare.
-The covering of all pre-existing conditions
-Free preventative services for Medicare patients
-Free preventative services to all women

     I want everyone to have affordable health care, in fact Americans already had health care. The health care may not have been equal, but nothing is equal. People don't get equal food, equal homes or equal cars. Don't get me wrong, I think the current system has problems. In fact if costs keep going up at their current rate, it could turn into a crisis. However, I believe the problems lie in the people not the system itself. A free market is the best system in the world, its human greed that makes it look bad. I must admit I've spent hours reading about Obamacare, and I don't fully understand it. What I have learned I will explain in the simplest ways possible. With the implementation of Obamacare we will be transitioning from a free market to Socialist health care. A free market is driven by supply and demand and creates competition. This system gives us choices and freedom to decide what we want for ourselves, while maintaining privacy. Socialism is about the greatest good for the greatest number of people. Everybody will pay into "the greater good" and the government will allocate the funds. In a way, it takes away the individual. This means the government will be deciding and micro-managing everything for you. This means we must give up privacy. If the government is going to decide treatment for you, they must know everything about you.
The Congressman from Texas, Louie Gohmert was recently quoted saying this-
"When the government controls everybody's health care, pays for everybody's health care, it is the government controlling everything. They have the power then to tell everybody how much they should put in, how much they take out," Gohmert explained.
"How much more socialist can you get than a government telling everybody what they can do, what they can't do, how they can live," he said, warning of consequences should the high court uphold the Affordable Care Act. "Individual liberty is gone as soon as this bill is held constitutional."
     This will be the first time the public is forced to purchase something or be penalized.  In case you try to ignore Obamacare, fines will be as follows. The first year penalty for one adult is $95.00. The second year fines jump to $325.00 per person or 2% of taxable income. In 2016 fines jump to $695.00 per person. I'm not sure how you can force people to buy something when they don't have the money to begin with. In my opinion Obamacare goes against everything that America is. America was founded on freedom, individual responsibility and limited government. Obamacare conflicts with all three of these principles. Last but not least, according to the U.S Constitution, no law can be past that doesn't also apply equally to Congress. President Obama has taken it upon himself to ignore this entirely, by granting special waivers, exemptions and delays to his friends and allies. This is all illegal, and nobody is stopping him.

Phony War

 

 

     After reading about the Syrian civil war and briefly blogging about it, I was left wondering why Saudi Arabia and Qatar would be funding Syrian rebels in a civil war. In fact the tiny nation of Qatar has spent 3 billion dollars supporting the rebels. Looking at a map, it is clear that they are separated by hundreds of miles. What could be the link? It turns out that Qatar is the world's leading exporter of liquid natural gas. They have been trying to build a pipeline that would sell lots and lots of natural gas to Europe. This pipeline would cut right through Syria. Standing in their way is the Assad regime who wont allow this to happen. This makes things interesting, it has nothing to do with chemical weapons after all. This is a geopolitical battle.
What does the U.S have to do with this? I haven't figured that out yet, but I'm sure it is politically and economically based somehow. If it wasn't for the 1st Amendment this information would never see the light of day. This is information that you will never see on the mainstream news. This is why Freedom of the press is so important. How many lies and deceptions would never be found out, if not for this freedom? I've learned over the years that there is always more to war than meets the eye. I'm not going to pretend to know all the details nor do I want to. What I know is, if we attack the Assad regime and help the rebels take over the country, this would allow the pipeline to be built. The Obama administration obviously has interests in this that aren't quite clear yet. I will be looking for more answers.- BDB

Look Who's Running

     It is still 3 years away, and the 2016 Presidential election is already getting interesting. Infowars.com has broke news today of former Governor Jesse Ventura announcing his intent to run for President in 2016. Who will be his Vice President? It is not set in stone yet, however he is gong to ask radio personality Howard Stern. This Wednesday Ventura will be on Stern's radio show where he will ask Stern officially. Ventura plans on running under the Libertarian banner. If elected, these two will undoubtedly shake the White House to the core. Ventura will refuse to take donations from special interest groups, and will use Sterns radio show for the fundraising. Both Ventura and Stern are openly critical of the U.S government and all of its lies. Both men have a true mindset of liberty. Ventura is also well know for his former TV show "conspiracy theory", in which he investigates false flag operations and theories of wrong doing by the U.S government. The show no longer makes new episodes. Ventura claiming he was often targeted by the D.H.S and the T.S.A for warrant less searches and harassing. Howard Stern is best known for being called a "shock jock" because of his controversial style. My opinion is that Both men will be publicly discredited between now and then.
Their public images will be smeared because they will advocate for smaller government. They will be heavily criticized by the left and the right. They may find friends from the Tea Party republicans and the libertarians but beyond that it is doubtful. With this said, America is craving real change and these two will definitely be that. I'm not a listener or a fan of Howard Stern but I love Jesse Ventura and his passion. I will no doubt be rooting for them.- BDB

Big Government

Treason

     I'm going to skip the introduction this time and get right to the point!
I am writing in hope that it causes others to get involved at the grass roots level. If we are going to see real change in this country it must come from the bottom up.  Last week President Obama Waived a federal law designed to prevent the supply of arms to known terrorist groups. The United State's foreign policy right now is messy and unclear. The Syrian civil war is not our fight. I'm not even sure who's side we are on. President Obama however, has chosen sides. Apparently the U.S is now on the side of the rebels, who consist of Al Qaeda and other Islamic extremists. The number of rebels is said to be around 100,000. Secretary of State John Kerry has minimized this number to the American public, trying to gain support. According to him only about 15% are Muslim extremists. Even if that number was accurate, that's 15,000 terrorists we are aiding and assisting. President Obama's motives are very unclear but obviously political. The C.I.A is now officially arming known terrorists. Remember the war on terror? If the rebels were not enemies the President would not have to go around the law.
Where is the outrage? There is no outrage because this story was suppressed in the media. You cant get outraged at something you don't know about. This is the power the media holds, the power of information. When you arm a known enemy of the United States, its called Treason.
Let me quickly do a recap.
President Obama has openly committed Treason and the media covers it up. You don't get to be President without learning how to sidestep a few landmines. I really hope my readers understand how big this is. People should be outraged and we should be moving forward with Treason charges. The President of the United States is now openly arming and aiding the enemy.
This is confirmed and on record.  I've learned that the biggest stories don't always make the mainstream news. Just curious, when can we expect handcuffs to be put on Mr. Obama?- BDB

Sign This Please

 

     It is part of human nature, we want to follow the crowd and fit in. In fact humans will often choose wrong over right, so they wont stand out. Most people are just concerned with getting through the day, rather than trying to make a difference. Our days are now so busy and action packed that sometimes we lose touch of the bigger picture. we don't have time to become informed voters and educated citizens. Let me put it this way, people are not paying attention! Its easier to believe the things we are told, than investigate them ourselves. Never has this been so apparent than today.
     Some very depressing videos were brought to my attention proving this very point. The videos show political activist and author Mark Dice, walking the boardwalk in California with phony, public petitions. It sounds harmless and fun, but what unfolds is one of the scariest things I've ever seen! Mr. Dice asked random people to sign a petition to "repeal the Bill of Rights"! We don't need them anymore he added. As absurd as it sounds, people gladly signed without a second thought or a convincing argument from Dice. If you think this is the exception rather than the rule, I included a list previous petitions of his that people gladly signed. Come on America!

Obamacare- 2

    This is a follow up to my first entry about Obamacare. I will explain more about the new law and do my best at raising awareness. For me, the red flags went up as soon as congress voted to exempt themselves from the very law they passed. To not only themselves, but also their staff and their families. How nice! Do they know something that we don't? This country thrived because of competition and the free market of ideas. Small business and entrepreneurs drove the economy. We have now turned from what made us great, and are now getting frighteningly close to having a whole generation fully dependent on  government. History has proved this to be disastrous. Let me say also, I don't oppose Obamacare because of him personally, I oppose Obamacare simply because I don't want the government running my health care. This law will undoubtedly force more government down our throats. This is the opposite of what America was founded on. We should all have the right to choose our own coverage options and treatments. This is the heart of liberty.
     As you get ready for the corrupt I.R.S to start monitoring your health care insurance, go ahead and clean your house too. This is to prepare for Obamacare which will include "forced" home visits for many citizens, maybe even everyone. Health and Human Service's website states that your family will be targeted if you fall under the ‘high-risk’ categories below: Families where mom is not yet 21. Families where someone is a tobacco user. Families where children have low student achievement, developmental delays, or disabilities. Families with individuals who are serving or formerly served in the armed forces, including such families that have members of the armed forced who have had multiple deployments outside the United States,”. Sounds like fun!

  When President Obama was campaigning for his second term, he promised us that we could keep our current health care coverage if we were happy, this turns out to be false. Millions of employers nation wide are dropping coverage for employees and their spouses. Small businesses are finding that it is cheaper to drop coverage than to insure the employees under Obamacare. Big businesses, oh yeah.....they are exempt too! It turns out President Obama has granted special waivers to- himself & his family, D.O.J & families, Supreme Court & families, Federal judges & families and about 1,200 corporations and unions, How nice! Obamacare will also force millions of people onto health care plan, without increasing the number of doctors. This will create doctor shortages nation wide.         Amongst the many problems, the biggest one seems to be rising health care costs. Premiums and deductibles are doubling across the country. The reason for this is because all current plans must abide by the standard of Obamacare. Many plans are forced to upgrade the provided care at the patients cost. The patient has no control as they watch costs soar. Probably the most controversial aspect of the new law, is the public funded abortions and birth control. One of the principles that defines America is religious liberty. We have never been forced to purchase anything that either violates our conscience or conflicts with our religious view. With Obamacare, this all changes. You will now help pay for abortions and birth control for strangers. The last thing I will mention is the unemployment rate. Obamacare will not help this at all. Small business are being forced to stop hiring new employees to stay under the 50 mark. Obamacare actually incentivizes businesses to STOP hiring new employees.
This is what we can look forward to Oct 1st.
DO we need a health care reform? Yes, but socialism is not the answer.

Take America Back

     The United States of America became a country in 1776..Our founders came to this land from Europe, because of  religious persecution, high taxes and abuse of authority. Our unique country was founded on the basis that all men & women were created equally.
     In a perfect world, this blueprint should be all that is needed to ensure that a society flourishes. Unfortunately, the world is not perfect. In only a short lifetime of roughly 230 years, America has gone from global super power to a broken nation, eroding from the inside out. Throughout history, it has been a privilege to be born on American soil. Because of our unique Constitution, we are born with certain rights guaranteed to us. This is because the founding fathers believed that our rights were given to us by God. They believed a government should be in place to protect peoples rights, not take them away. 230 years has been enough time for men to abuse this system and start to flip it on its head. The average everyday person feels discouraged and distant from the government. It has become an overgrown, corrupt system, made up of controlling, power hungry men. This system is now running separate from the very laws that it is supposed to be upholding. We are now seeing a government who thinks they can do anything they want, at any time. This large disconnect has caused Americans to become the walking dead. Going through the motions of everyday life, and choosing not to think about the problems of government. We have gotten so used to this corrupt system that we accept that it will always be like this, and there is nothing we can do.
It is time we wake up from our coma.
     We have fallen  so far from where we started, the public has forgotten right from wrong. We take for granted our freedom and our God given rights. We take for granted all of the people who died protecting those rights. It seems now, people only care when it directly effects them, otherwise they turn there head. Our country has been so careless with spending, that we are left in tremendous debt. We have borrowed so much money that the USA is currently owned by foreign banks and global corporations. However, last time I checked it was still "we the people", which means we hold the power, the power to change anything as we see fit.
I still have faith that the heartbeat of America is alive and well.
We need to be aggressive...
If we are to win this fight, we must unite and let our voices be heard.
Lets use our right to free speech to speak out against corruption and over policing.
Lets use our right to peaceful assembly, to assemble against heavy taxes and regulations.
Lets use our right to petition the government, and remind them that they work for us.
Last and most importantly, let use our religious liberty to reach out to our lord and pray for America to be great again. We all have to do our part & it wont be easy. These are our birthrights and cannot be taken from us.
Let us be inspired by the spirit 1776.

Nineteen Eighty Four

      For those of you not familiar with the term "Nineteen Eighty Four", it is not referring to the year,  well......yes and no. "Nineteen Eighty Four" is a science-fiction novel by George Orwell, published in 1949. When this book first came out, it was set in a world beyond imagination. Now, it is not far fetched at all. For us living in the digital age of 2013 it reads almost like prophecy. There have been many popular novels written with similar concepts, for example, "A brave new world" and "The time machine". These are known as dystopian novels. Dystopia is defined as- a society characterized by human misery. (the opposite of an utopia).
     The setting of "Nineteen Eighty Four" is the year 1984.
Even though that was thirty years ago, we are now seeing many
parallels with the Sci-fi novel. This book has stood the test of time and even influenced our culture in small ways. The terms "big brother" and "thought crime" originated from the novel and have entered everyday life since the book's release.
This eerie, but classic novel reads almost like a modern day newspaper. The setting is the former nation of Great Britian known as "Airstrip one". The land is split into two parties, "the inner party" and "the outer party". It is a world of continuous wartime.
Everywhere you go there is round the clock, government surveillance and public mind control. The name of the system is "English Socialism" or "Ingsoc" for short. The system is under control of a privileged inner party elite, who persecute all individualism and independent thought. The tyranny is lead by god-like leader called "big brother", who may not even exist.
The main character is named Winston Smith, who works for the outer party. Smith is responsible for propaganda and historical revisionism. His job is to rewrite historical newspaper articles so that the historical record always supports the current party line. Smith is a hard worker, but secretly hates the Party and dreams of rebellion against "big brother".
     "Nineteen Eighty Four" has won many awards. Among them the novel was chosen by TIME magazine in 2005 as one of the 100 top English-language novels from 1923-2005.
The written work has been the influence for comics, movies, songs, TV shows and artwork for the past 65 years!

Why Spy

     In May of 2013, N.S.A whistle blower Edward Snowden revealed to the whole world that The U.S government regularly spies on the American public. Since then, every week new details seem to emerge. The full extent is still not known, but it is believed that the federal government records and stores emails, phone calls & texts of roughly 70% of the American public. Anyone who believes the government only spies on "bad guys" is very wrong. Many sources are now claiming the N.S.A spies on everyone, whether you are a threat or not. In the eyes if the federal government everything is a threat.
     The fourth amendment of the U.S constitution guarantees protection against warrantless searches, but we are told its for our safety, "to catch terrorists" they say.
As of right now the fourth amendment is dead. Warrantless phone tapping and spying cuts to the very heart of privacy. The N.S.A has admitted to spying on 3 quarters of the worlds smartphones and has implanted their code into all Android and i-phone systems. This enables them to remotely turn on your microphone or camera when your phone is off! They can then listen and track you wherever you go.
This is not limited to phones either. The N.S.A also has the ability to turn on your webcam or microphone on your computer and watch you at home.
     With these recent revelations, the American public feels very uneasy and is questioning the effectiveness of the program. We are left with questions like, how much is enough?  When the federal government watches me in my own home, and I'm not suspected of a crime...... that's enough!
The U.S government has done a great job selling the war on terror to the American public. If they keep the citizens scared under the guise of terrorism, people will do anything...including give up their liberties! -BDB

Politically Correct

      In my opinion, the principle of Concord Carlisle High School in the suburbs of Boston, should be tarred and feathered for the stunt he pulled this week. Wednesday was the 12 year anniversary of Sept 11th, this was such an emotional and life changing event in the America's history that many Americans are still left not knowing what appropriate behavior is when the anniversary comes around. I know however, what is in-appropriate behavior.....skipping the morning pledge of allegiance and replacing it with a Muslim poem! Yes America, you read that correctly. Principle Peter Badalament said it was just a misunderstanding.
He also said that he had someone lined up to read the pledge, but didn't realize the student was absent. "We were unaware that our student pledge reader had an internship commitment"
How convenient!  It sounds like the dog ate my homework excuse.
The Principle, when pressed for answers, argued that the Mohja Kahf poem that was read was intended to express "cross-cultural understanding".
No comment was ever given on why the school didn't simply pick another student or have a faculty member read the pledge
Mr Badalament really dropped the ball on this one. Not only is it disrespectful, but irresponsible.
This is not the time or the place to push a politically correct agenda. What happened on Sept 11th was pure evil and it was murder. This day naturally comes with conflicting thoughts and emotions. Some may see it as a good opportunity to discuss these feelings and confront any fears. This may true but what I do know, what this Principle did was wrong. This act was thoughtless and tactless.
The message Mr Badalament sent to the student body that day was "get over it" and it is more important to understand Islam than to honor our fallen heroes.
So what was the poem about? It is a literary work that describes the Muslim ritual of foot washing five times a day and how it often makes westerners uncomfortable. Maybe the most shocking part of this story is the lack of backlash from parents. The school has received only a handful of complaints and emails about the incident. This is the world we are living in my friends. Am I over reacting? -BDB

Obamacare- 1

      October 1st is the date that the Affordable Care Act (a.k.a - Obamacare) will be implemented.
It is important that we know what this is and what it means.

     All Americans want to improve the health care system. No matter which "party" you support, its our nature to want to help other people. When President Obama passed the law in 2010, we were all promised lower costs, lower premiums and improved care. The word on the street was it was free health care for everyone. It turns out....that's not what it is.
     Under this new law, you are required to have a  qualified health care plan and the proof must be attached to your income taxes. This means it will be enforced by the corrupt I.R.S! They will now have the power to track you and penalize you for noncompliance. Young, healthy people can no longer have low cost plans. The Health and Human Service's secretary will now decide what coverage you have to pay for and how much you must pay.
For the first time in history, doctors will no longer be able to make decisions based on the best interest of their patients. Under Obamacare doctors will have to provide the care approved by the government.
     With Obamacare, privacy as we know it will be a thing of the past. Under the new health plan your physician is required to enter all information for each patient, including all treatments, into a government electronic database. Doctors are then instructed on what the government deems to be cost effective and appropriate care. The government will now have access to all of your private records.
     Obama care will also raise the cost of health care in America because it forces higher expenses on health insurance companies, who will then pass the cost down to you and me.

     Starting in 2014 all employers with 50 or more full time employees will be fined $2,000
a year, per uninsured or un-enrolled employee. In turn small companies are cutting the hours of full time employees, making them part time, to avoid fees. This is creating a nation of par time employees.
In the end Obama care will force citizens to purchase a government product or face penalties.
With 10,000 pages of regulations, it is unclear if anyone has actually read this monstrosity.

Conspiricy Truth

     If Sept 11th 2001 was simply a terrorist attack, why are there so many unanswered questions?
Questions such as, Why didn't the secret service make an attempt to move the president when they first found out about the attacks?  For the average American, it is hard to imagine our government could possibly be involved in something so heinous. With this entry, I will stay as neutral as possible and let the facts speak for themselves. I must admit however, that the facts and events leading up to the plane crashes make no sense. In fact the more you look, the stranger things get. Even 12 years after the world trade center attacks, the rabbit hole continues to get deeper. I implore you, do not take my word for it and do your own research. With that said, I don't believe in coincidences and when I'm done you probably wont either.
     The following is a list of statements that have either been put on record or declassified as truth by the U.S government or sources close to. Individually they prove nothing. It is only when looked at as a whole that things get interesting.
-On the morning of Sept 11th, the U.S military is conducting war games in which planes are crashed into buildings and hijacked planes go in and out of radar, leaving military controllers confused on whether the events were real or an exercise .....
-There are four separate videos of the crash at the pentagon, all four videos show an explosion but no plane.
-The part of the pentagon that was hit, was ironically the only part that had reinforced steel and glass.
-To this day, not one piece of the 100 ton plane was ever identified from the Pentagon wreckage.
-No Air force intervention was attempted.
-That particular morning, all four airplanes would be only 30% capacity.
-Every pilot is trained to use a four digit code in case of emergency, none of the four planes used this code.
-Allegedly, beginner pilots pulled off  maneuvers that experienced pilots say are nearly impossible.
-The twin towers were composed of 200,000 tons of steel and were designed to withstand multiple impacts from airplanes, yet came down in ten seconds.
-Independent sources analyzed dust from the scene and found residue from explosive materials used in demolitions.
-The fires that burned at the scene were dowsed with water for 3 months. The fires were not put out until Dec 13, all said to be jet fuel from just two airplanes.
-Eye witnesses claimed to hear explosions before the planes even hit.
-Countless structural engineers went on record saying they believed it was a controlled demolition.
- One of the hijackers managed to get on the plane with no passport, and that passport was later found in a suitcase that just happened to have a list of all of the hijackers names and their plans.
-New York business man, Larry Silverstein bought the World Trade Center in July 2001, and bought an insurance policy on the buildings that included terrorist attacks.  Silverstein profited 4.5 billion dollars off the event.
-Almost immediately after the attacks all of the steel debris was shipped over seas to the lowest bidder, and was never
examined. The victim's families were outraged!
What you just read is a small portion of glaring problems with the official story of Sept 11th 2001. I encourage you to investigate this mystery for yourself.

Myth of Gun Control

     Let me just start out by saying that control & freedom are opposite terms. When you bring in control, freedom leaves.
So what is gun control? Restrictions, or laws implemented for the purpose of making firearm possession impossible or very difficult. I've come to realize however, when someone says that they are against guns, they really don't mean it. What they mean is they want people with guns to go and take other peoples guns. They have no problem if the police and military personnel have guns, just nobody else.
This flies in the face of being American.  The founders of this country knew that power is always abused. They knew that if this country was to be unique, then the power must be in the people, not the government. Our second amendment right is important, because it guarantees that we can protect ourselves and our country from tyrants If the government has the only guns we have failed as Americans.
Every time there is a murder committed with a gun, there is an entire movement of people who think the gun is at fault. This is debunked immediately by the simple fact that if guns didn't exist, there would still be murder. It is human nature to rebel, This means lying stealing & killing will never go away. There has been murder since the beginning of time.
Before there were guns people used arrows and swords.
What the gun control movement fails to see, is that there will always be another "convenient" way for someone to commit murder.

        Anywhere that people have weapons to defend themselves there will be less crime.
Criminals will always choose an easy target over an armed one. The more laws that are put in place will only effect those who obey the laws to begin with.
I can guarantee gun control was not a phrase that was familiar to George Washington or anyone of the founding fathers. Guns were crucial to the American revolution, they are ingrained in who we are as Americans. We must look to and trust that the founding fathers knew what they were talking about when they wrote the second amendment. They knew how big this country would become and they knew that given enough time, a government would come along attempting to disarm us. It is no secret that in order to control a population, the people have to be unarmed. This is what we are witnessing, a government that is slowly and methodically attempting to disarm the American public.
The idea that the American public could ever be completely disarmed, however.......is a myth.
Even the most conservative estimates say there are approximately 66 million legal gun owners in the USA. This means that the public would have to give up their guns at a rate of 3,600 guns everyday for 50 years. Ironically this would not include the illegal guns. When Voting

     It is not a big secret these days, whether you vote Republican or Democrat, we tend to get the same outcome....more government! George Bush was a republican and he tripled the size of the federal government and gave us the patriot act. Obama is a democrat and he thinks the government can't be big enough, and should run every area of our lives. There are other options, but do they stand a chance? In my opinion we need to stop thinking in those terms. If there is to be a real revolution in this country we should be willing to take some chances.
     The third largest party is the libertarian party. I've voted Libertarian in the last 5 straight presidential elections. It is no secret, however that I hold to conservative values. I disagree with the libertarians on a few issues, but refuse to vote republican or democrat anymore due to the similarities in the end result. There is however some interesting things going on in the republican party. Since 2009 we have seen a movement who call themselves the Tea Party. Named after the iconic event in Boston, the Tea Party's main objectives are, responsible government spending, lowering taxes and decreasing the national debt.
     The Tea Party has been called part conservative and part libertarian.
In my opinion the main hurdle for their success is to separate themselves from the Republican party completely, but this is difficult in a two party dominated system as ours.
If the Tea Party continues to grow and gain momentum, they have a real shot at the polls. We will see their numbers continue to grow, but probably not fast enough for the next election. We may have to sacrifice some time for the Tea Party to succeed. If we indeed see a presidential candidate come out of this movement, it would be a miracle if they won anytime before the 2020 elections! I have two reasons for saying this. First, many voters are going to be split between voting for the Tea party candidate and the Libertarian candidate, therefore splitting the votes against the liberal left. Second reason is that it takes time to create a third party. The Republican party most likely won't endorse a candidate that is for small government. So the only options left are to create another party or join with the Libertarians. My hope for the future is to see the Tea Party members and the libertarian party join sides and be the newest party to dominate Washington. The downside is that we may have to sacrifice a couple elections to give us time to unite. I'm willing to take these chances to see some real change, because it wont happen overnight! -BDB (Google Images)

A Drive-By Shooting

   He didn't use those exact words, however, Secretary of State John Kerry seems to think the United States can intervene in another country's civil war militarily, and just walk away unscathed to resume everyday life. He is proposing in so many words, a drive by shooting.
     John Kerry seems to live in  La La land with the rest of the Obama administration. Obama has said this week to the media that he promises there will be no boots on the ground if the U.S gets involved in the Syrian civil war. He says it will be only a limited, calculated strike. Excuse me Mr President, but how can you make a promise like that? In no part of reality that I'm familiar with, can you send war ships to the coast of a country, launch a missile attack and be confident that there will be no retaliation or problems. At this point, the administration has little to no credibility in the public eye, after trying to cover up the incident in Benghazi Libya with lie, after lie, just a year ago.

     Syria has been dominated by the Ba'ath socialist party since 1963, with the same president, Bashar al-Assad since 1971.
     The civil war started in 2011 when protesters took to the streets to demand the resignation of Assad and the Ba'ath party. The protesters consisted of defected solders and civilian volunteers. The protests evolved into an armed rebellion and the Syrian military was sent out to quell the uprising.
This situation has already turned into an international mess, with the Syrian government gaining support from Iran and Russia, and the rebel forces receiving weapons from Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
     So what does this have to do with the United States?    nothing.... however, President Obama  made a public statement one year ago stating, If chemical weapons were used, the United States would get involved. This brings us to August 23rd this year when YouTube videos began to surface of  the aftermath of a chemical weapons attack. President Assad was instantly blamed for using them on his own people. This in turn led  instantly to President Obama calling in the troops. This decided action by Obama has led to a public backlash of opposition which has caused Obama to hold off  and seek congress's approval before making any moves.
Which brings us back to the beginning. President Obama is going to bring to congress plans of a "quick" military strike against the Syrian military. This would not only put America on the side of Islamic extremists, but also put us at odds with Russia and Iran.
This is not our fight and if we get involved there is no winning outcome for us.
Mr. President, there is no such thing as a "quick" military strike! The American people don't want this. We should at least get our own house in order, before we poke our nose where it doesn't belong. -BDB (Google Images)

A Tolerant Society

    We are living in strange but interesting times & I wouldn't trade it for the world. Our mainstream media news has become entertainment, rather than what it should be, non-
biased factual accounts of stories around the globe that have real relevance to our society. Mainstream media seams to be staying away from real news and instead choosing to focus on shallow small town events that should never make national news. With the recent debacle that is called the George Zimmerman trial, race tensions are up. We have been fed a steady diet of manufactured black vs white racism.  I blame two parties for this mess. First the media, the same media that a month later is covering a story of a rodeo clown in Missouri that wore a rubber mask of president Obama during a routine rodeo skit. Because of this and nothing else, this man has received a lifetime ban and was blacklisted from working in any rodeo again. I have no doubt that some people were offended by this, but no more offended than any of the presidents for the last hundred years were. Do I need to remind anyone that we are still living in the land of the free? I'm not saying that I agree with making fun of the president, but I will defend your right to make fun of the president. In a free society people will get offended.
      This poor rodeo clown has been ostracized and made to take sensitivity training because he practiced his first amendment right. Second I blame the President. Doesn't the president have any thing to say about this? One can only come to the conclusion that maybe the President agrees with this. Maybe our President thinks that he is above being teased, and his feelings are hurt. We can only guess because of the silence. Is President Obama being held to a higher standard that George Bush and Ronald Reagan?  I hope not!  Mr. President do you need to be reminded that you are not a king? -BDB (Google Images)
